    Poker at the bar tonight
So I used to play poker quite a bit but i really get frustrated with the game when I play it too much because of the vicious ass ****ings that occur when you are way ahead and get jewed on rivers and 2/3 outers. Today I went with a buddy out to a local bar to watch some football and have a few drinks. They were just starting a free roll so we joined in and I won it for $20 pretty easily. After that they were playing a cash game 1-2 so I bought in for $40 and cashed out $125. Like I said I like poker every once in a while but I ususally get screwed hard when I play too much because I am a pretty tight-aggressive player and well ya...it happens I guess.

My point to this story is I am pretty sure I can rape these guys for a lot of money up there but the last time I did something similar to this I got uninvited to the game after a month or two. How much am I allowed to take from them before they uninvite me up at the bar? I might just go a few times a month for gas money but I mean this was easy money. The tourney took about 2 and a half hours but the cash game was soooo loose I made 50 on my first hand in the big blind.

I play a similar style that you describe. I have also played at games with these types of players and I have made a lot of money over the years. When I know I can dominate a game and I rake it in, I have made some "fish" moves on purpose and donated some cash back to let the players so they think I am just lucky, not good.

One of the mistakes I think a lot of good players make (especially good younger players that I know), is that they talk too much about strategy.

When I am at a game with a bunch of fish, I don't talk about two outers, pot odds, implied odds, my years of playing poker etc. Why scare them off with my knowledge. I want their action.

When they hit a two outer, I compliment them on their play. When I have an opened ended straight draw and the pot odds dictate a call and I hit it, I just say I am lucky. When I raise on a flush draw and hit it, I just say it must be my night.

If you play once a week for two months and win six out of eight times, that is some easy money.
