My final post on Vegas Dave

Don't know why you're ripping on VegasDave, he videos are entertaining and provides good insight. He's young and many of us didn't have money when we just graduated from college. Hell, back in 1992 when I graduated, I took an accounting clerk job making $8 an hour. I moved up the Corporate ladder and I'm sure VegasDave will as well.

He is smart not to bet when he doesn't have the money. He is at least honest, better than some cappers who pretend to be betting thousands a game, but probably only put down $10 if they even bet at all. Keep doing your thing VegasDave and when you do have extra money and make bets, you will have success in the future.

its not worse in the real world as deuce said, people act way more civil in the real world....if we were all sitting at a bar instead of on the internet people 10% of the people in here would have to be on heavy anti-anxiety meds because they don't know how to socialize in a normal setting.

And over 50% of the flamers on here sure as hell would not be able to put a real life voice behind their criticisms.

People that wanna be hard-asses basically have made up excuses why they don't like Dave... ie... he doesn't bet his own picks.

the real reason is that he is a real nice guy and a real easy target....there is nothing threatening about the guy...and while he may not take the criticism to heart or really be hurt (I suspect he does at least some) he RESPONDS to it.

and this makes his critics feel REAL BIG.... Dave gets more negative attention because he seems softer then other guys here.

Dave may be quixotic when it comes to his desires for what this board would be like, or how it should act.

but round up 10 of Dave's biggest critics and if we took a vote as a board to vote off/ban either 1 Vegas Dave or ALL the flamers.... I have a feeling Dave would stay and the critics would leave.

Dave posts vids, brings good discusssion, has brought some of the funniest vids this thread has ever seen... he's genuine and doesn't lie about how much he benches, how much he makes, how many girls he bangs...... And that scares alot of retards out there, that lie so much about their internet persona that they start to believe it.

You guys have already said it, Dave is a good guy, he's honest and straightforward, he also risks attacks (flames) by putting himself out there.

The weird thing is, he gets really mad when he loses and very happy when he wins. But when he loses he will come back and say he doesn't bet with money. What the hell is he betting then? It just doesn't make sense. I have a hard time believing his whole "Image" here on SBR. Then again, I could care less about the guy.

I usually like your posts poetwarrior,this one was really bizarre.sounds like you are having a rough day.

Vegas Dave is by far one of the most interesting posters on this forum and really makes this forum worth reading.Few guys put much thought into their picks and certainly are not creative enough to do videos .Dave is young and has alot of learning to do but definitely stands out among the herd in terms of being intelligent and creative .Videos are really what makes this forum stand out from the rest,and dave should be on the staff here one day , in my opinion .

Alot of guys on here are intellectually and socially barely above pond scum.Vegas dave , no matter what you think about his picks,at least puts some effort and thought into his writeups and videos and strikes me as a pretty hard working,nice, normal guy which is rare among gamblers.Alot of guys that gamble have zero social skills and Dave strikes me as a pretty well adjusted guy.

how someone could watch a vegasdave vid and not like this guy is beyond me, he is a nice kid, and i say kid becoz i am way older than him, but seriously, he's a real nice kid with good intentions and gives some good sports insights, he does have a ways to go but he readily admits it, at the end of the day he's a good dude giving his picks and admitting he doesnt bet, sometimes when ppl dont bet it makes it much easier to see things clearly without the money pressure, if you dont think betting big money can cloud someones mind and make them see shit in gms that doesnt exist, just try betting big some time and see what happens to your bankroll,
