Texas/Wisconsin, Top Play in CBB so far!
**** it! I know I always said I don't believe in locks and in sports betting we all know that but this is as close to one as you are ever going to get.

Lock it up and throw the key out, never post again if it is a loser Lock of the College Basketball Game of the Year!!!!!!!!!!! There I said it assholes.

What the ****? Texas is going into this game almost PK for what reason? I understand the Badgers are good at home but they can't score points and that is a real problem when you have a great offense coming to town.

Lets see, Wisconsin has played 2 good teams all year:
    UConn destroyed them 76-57
    Marquette beat them 61-58

On the other hand Texas has already beaten Villinova (in healthy fashion), UCLA. and falling to Notre Dame by 1.

To me this is a NCAA tournament type game, like the other two top teams they played. And what happens to Wisconsin in the tournament? They get their asses kicked because it no longer works to hold teams to 49 points. I don't care what team it is, when you are playing a top caliber team with the shooters Texas has, you have to score. Well, I don't think there is a chance, even at Wisconsin, that this pathetic team can beat Texas.

Top play of CBB, and I will make Wisconsin step up and show me that they have a pair of nuts to score more then 55 points. The respect that the Big 10 gets is just beyond me. This conference is a ****in joke and Wisconsin is getting this line on year past. Prove me wrong Wisconsin, because like always I think this team is a pretender at best. What say you?

Thus far, CBB Play of The Year:

    Texas -1

Couple of things scare me about Texas in this one. It's very strange that they are set up against the same two teams they lost back-to-back games to a year ago when Michigan St and then Wisconsin got to them. I'm not a big believer in revenge when it comes to capping games, especially at the collegiate level. And this is Texas' first real road game of the season, so we don't have a lot to go on as to just how this team will perform in a true hostile environment.

I've also been very unimpressed with the job Rick Barnes has done so far, just has seemed in a couple of games that he never forced the Longhorns to take advantage of some mismatches inside, and they won't have those advantages in this one. Atchley has been very inconsistent and looks like he doesn't want a thing to do with getting physical. And Pittman got chewed up and spit out last Saturday against the Spartans. Just something about the Horns right now that makes me wonder how focused they are.

Should they win this one? Yeah, no doubt. But I'm not sold on them in their current state.

I don't think the conference is a joke. They have seven teams in the top 41 of the RPI ratings right now.

Big conference wins include UM over Duke, MSU over Texas, Minnesota over Louisville, OSU over Butler, Purdue over Davidson, Michigan over UCLA, Northwestern over Florida St., and OSU over Notre Dame. This looks like an impressive non-conference win list to me.

Wisconsin is 41 and Texas is 36th in RPI.

I am on Wisconsin where the badgers are tough at home.

I like Wisconsin. Big Ten at home is hard to beat. Wisconsin plays excellent defense at home.

Well boys, good luck if you are on Wisconsin. I was ****ed up last night when I posted this, hence the lock shit. More of a joke for all those always putting the lock of the week, month, and year shit up. But I do not think for one second that Wisconsin will win this game. I have been wrong before but......... like always Badgers play good defense against teams that don't have multiple threats to score, and struggle big time when they play top caliber teams as their defense can only bring them so far. For proof just look at the UConn final score.

You left out the fact that:

Mich St was completely embarrassed at the hand of the best UNC. I mean Mich St looked like a high school team compared to UNC. And that game was a home game 98-63, now that is a beat down. Maybe the Duke beat down of Purdue in their own building. These were supposed to be the best of the Big 10.

The fifth year senior (Goran Suton) and starting center for MSU was out that game. UNC would probably still have won.

Hans was not even close to 100% and Ginyard, Zeller, Copeland all out for that game. So what is the next excuse?

Probably? they won by 30+, they could have play and they still wouldn't have had a chance. Don't feel bad though, they have routed everyone.

Hansbrough is a drama queen with his pre-game "illness" issues. It reminds me of when Jordan played and the media always played up his injuries and his "flu" symptoms. Give me a break. Almost every athlete is battling some kind of injury.

UNC is a great team and I would be shocked if they don't win it all.

McRich, I agree, the bullshit the media tries to make out of his injury is pretty rediculous. UNC is unstoppable unless they pull what they did last year in the final 4 and not show up for 7 minutes. Big 10 did keep the challenge close this season so I can't take any of that away from them. I guess you never know until everyone is done with playing cupcakes and gets into conference play.
