Hamels started the 2011 season by giving up 6 runs his first start lasting only 2 innings.
He then went on to pitch over 200 innings with an ERA of like 2.8, with almost 200 k's.

It's not about just 2 starts. It's about what the 2 starts represent. This is the first time in Hamels' career that he is being counted on as the #1 guy.
He's not the 3rd starter anymore. He can't let Halladay and Lee handle opposing teams' big guns while he takes the mound on the 3rd facing a nobody.
Before this season started, I couldn't tell you the last time I saw the Phillies get Hamels a 4 run lead and then him blow it.
He obviously can't handle the pressure of being the man yet.
I'm not saying this to break your balls or any other Phillies fans balls. I'm saying what I'm observing on the field.
The Yankees I'm not worried about now because this isn't the real Yankees team we're seeing. Until everyone gets back from injury there is no need to panic or evaluate them. Any wins at this point, for me, is gravy.
