Beckham is just a name, zero impact on the field and highly overpaid.
Favre might be the biggest conman to ever play in NFL

Slicker you cannot disagree
Beckham gets lucky to get a shot on goal every once in a while, this clumsy fuk cannot even walk straight. Italy thinks he is the second coming...........LA thought same thing, we are still waiting for him to score a goal. LOL

The reason soccer doesn't work here is because people would rather watch the 0-16 Lions scrimmage in spring than a Barcelona - Man Utd champions legue final. The common excuse is they don't understand what they do in soccer. Can someone explain to me how hard is it to lose 16 games in a row with a payroll of 60 million dollars.

I have no clue about soccer but even I think Beckham is overrated, plus who the fuk came up with payin him like 250 mil to play soccer IN THE US, hell I wouldn't pay Jesus Christ 250 mil to play soccer here, there are ZERO FANS, just like hockey soccer is a complete joke, if a hockey/soccer pro gets paid over 10 bucks an hour he's overpaid in the US

If I were an owner I would want thre revenue these big names bring. In the end ,its all about merchandise, and revenue these players bring to a team. The jets and LA galaxy benefit enormously by having these guys on their team.

nba / nfl players are all overpaid , marbury gets 20 million for doing nothing at all ,
they also advised him to stay away from the games . wtf
Soccer players do get a ridicolous low amount of money each year compared to nba/nfl players.
German soccer players do get about 1.5 million /year on average .

Favre looks like he's wearing a Depends undergarment under his uniform. He's starting to throw like a girl too.I'm usually good at figuring out financial motives but this Favre deal is a toughie. He could have retired gracefully a year ago all be it on a sour high note throwing an interception to end the NFC championship game and his career. He probably didn't need the money but by going through the reinstatement the way he did,he got that huge buyout offer from the Packers to quit.He should have assessed his depleted abilities and took the money and retired for good.Lots of variables and I think pride was the biggest factor where he threw the interception at the end of the NFC championship game and having the Packers not wanting him was his downfall.
He's now like a totally spent tube of toothpaste that is trying to squeeze with all his might one more amount of tooth paste to get a brushing in.
Someone should have known he was gonzo when the filming crew making the Wrangler commercials had to tell the guys playing sandlot football to back off the receivers so Favre could look good in the commercials.
Anyone see the Packer Bears game in Chicago at the end of last year?It was easily the worst weather environment for a game in the history of the NFL.Orton looked good and the weather didn't even bother him.Favre looked like he didn't even want to be there.Anybody here, well, almost anybody could have performed as well as Favre did in that game.He did not want to be there. He was just going through the motions and he couldn't even accomplish basic fundamentals. For a guy that prided himself of being the best cold weather quarterback in the history of the NFL,his performance in that game was a sad embarrassment.
