I am starting off with a very small roll and hopefully going to build it. probably not to your 30k goal, but make a fifth of that would be nice. well keep posting those winners and ill try to follow as much as I can. when do you post picks, like time of day? I am on west coast time in the states. is there a way to like get a notification when you make posts to my phone or email? I don't do forums. im a noob. starting roll is $200. BOL to everyone!
This seems to be overlooked by most, but you can subscribe to this thread and request an e-mail each time something is posted. Then if you have an iphone you can put that e-mail on your favorites. Then you will get an notification each time someone post a message to this thread. Its not perfect, and sometimes it takes time for it to come through, but can help you not miss picks.

You obviously do alot alot of research and take winning very serious. My question is this, are you really able to separate mentally with everyday life? Like you mention in the one post about going out with friends to grab a steak with action at the same time. I consider myself a very disiplined player but this is something i really struggle with whether having $5 on a game or $100, doesn't matter, have to know the results. I know we all go through this and the real kick in the teeth is freting over a game out with friends or family that ends up being a loss. Just that dreaded wasted emotion feeling. Something have tried to get better at over the the years and just can't shake it and probably never will. There is nothing like the rush of a win, its in the blood.

Anyways, enjoy the heck out of your post and just curious on your take.
      I have one simple rule.....

When out with friends, family or my girlfriend I ONLY check my phone for results when in the bathroom....that way I am not disrespecting anybody and I don't look like an ass. Of course everybody thinks I have a drug habit because I am in the bathroom so much....but that's on them, not me!

Huge fan of yours. Lurking for months.

Was wondering if you could explain logic behind taking the over 9.5 in ari- colo game?

from what i see both starting pitchers have had decent success against their opponent.

I believe they faced off in colo earlier this year and score was 3-1.

I know you rate this a small play, just wondering what leans you that way?

        I'm leaning under, obv.

Sitting at 2-1so far but only up $25.

Typical day....had two underdogs + games and they both won outright....easy wins. In our loss we had Fognini -5 and the lazy POS decided to lose the first set 6-1....before beating the tar out of his opponent 6-1 and 6-2 in the last two sets.....and we lost a squeeker by 1 game......

Like I said, the lose a ton of close stuff but the wins seem pretty easy.....if nothing else it tells me that we are getting on the right side most of the time.

No offense, but you must be a NOOB on betting on Tennis. The times are only every estimates as they don't know how long the matches that must be played on the same court before them will last. As a rule, they are mostly always later then scheduled time with the exception of the very first match of the day.

This will be just like the Fognini match. Troicki will wake up and win the next two sets and still not cover. Bit of a rough start to the day. Harrison had soooo many opportunities to break and couldn't. Sad.

I'm on the over for this as well, mainly because the raw stats support it- "streaks" and recent performance outliers are almost always illusions. This line moved up already, and I think it will continue to climb.

I read recently from a source I trust that hitters will make better adjustments against a previous pitcher, while the pitcher will be more likely to rigidly lock into what worked last time. Normally I tend to avoid "truthy" sounding angles like that, but I can at least entertain the idea.

So funny, I am 3-0 in Dusseldorf this morning and getting killed in Nice. Troicki is going to wreck that trend, but oh well.

All of our underdogs came in today and all of our favourites have crapped the bed. I guess we should have just got on every dog.

I am impressed on how many of your dogs get the job done. It seems the books pretty much go by the current ranking and not much else? Which is good for us, if you study the sport and know the players, etc.

Just guessing here and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. It just seems as a rule you can look at the current rank of the players (both ATP and WTA) and figure pretty much what the books ML will be.

I hear Lundqvist shoulder is fine, but i believe hes going to be fighting threw the discomfort.

Ranking is only part of it. You have to also look at prior results between the two players, as well as evaluate how they are currently playing. Let's not forget injuries, exhaustion, weather, how each player handles the court surface, the line judge, etc.

When it comes to making a tennis line, trust me, they don't just base it off of rankings. If they did, Nadal wouldn't have been such a dominant favorite over Federer last weekend. There's a lot that goes into it.

Just guessing here and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. It just seems as a rule you can look at the current rank of the players (both ATP and WTA) and figure pretty much what the books ML will be.
As a loose rule yes, but what surface they are playing on can play a huge factor as well. Good example being Federer/Nadal... as well as all things stated in the post above me.

Seems like a frustrating morning. Hopefully it turns this evening.

It seems like non of our guys like to go from 30-0 to clean finish their matches today.

A rough morning. No favourites covered because they started so poorly, and Harrison couldn't get it together to win any of the break points he had.

                                                    On to tonight! GL guys.

I feel bad for those of you that have just joined us....yikes. That was our worst day in ATP tennis EVER....and by that I mean by FAR.

                                                      3-6 for -$322

Not a big loss on the grand scale of things, but tennis usually has us out to a nice early start to our days....now we scramble all day to keep things decent. I may add a play or two, one of them may be POD quality.....but I want to make sure that I am not chasing this poor start....going to look back at it at approximately 3pm PST.

Of course, I followed the tennis today. Sorry fellas.......

Stuff like that happens in tennis.....but not usually to us.
