    Is this standard practice?
Early this morning around 7 AM PST, I accidentally put down a sizable wager at Bookmaker on the Angels (-102). After placing the bet, the line moved to (-103). However, this wasn't what I wanted. I actually wanted to place a wager on the over.

I immediately went to live-help, and asked if I could cancel my wager. They told me no, since the line had moved.

I could understand if it was an hour or two later, or if the line had moved for a legitimate reason. But I requested the cancellation literally within a minute.

That sucks. Guessing its standard practice to say no but I would think a higher-up could clear it. The line moved in your favor, not against you.

He had a better number than was currently being offered on the Angels, granted not by much.

That's rough but I'm not surprised. Even if there are no line moves books will limit the number of times you can cancel a wager. Usually if the line moves at all you're SOL.

I hope you're only playing totals at bookmaker. You're too smart to play 20 cent lines.

yes a higher up can definitely clear it, ask to speak to a manager and you might get accommodated

generally I thought Internet wagers are final once placed espically after there's a line move

Similar issue happened to me with another major offshore. The line moved and they would not cancel.
But when the line moved back, I immediately called (or chatted them) and they were good enough to cancel the play.

Not only standard procedure, but they would not have changed it if you called a second later and the line didn't change.

Not true...at least in general terms. I've had several wagers cancelled after the fact at 5dimes.

I remember them also saying it was only a one time thing, and they wouldn't do it again. I figured that was just tough guy talk though.
