Who's your favorite athlete?

My favorite athlete of all time is "The Captain", "Mr. November", Derek Jeter. As a kid in the 90's, my parents took me to see the local team, the Atlanta Braves, but they just didn't do it for me. Then I started watching my four favorite baseball players: Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettite, and Jeter. I've stuck by my team through the good years, the bad years (when Steinbrenner let go of my boy Joe Torre), and the shitty years (when the Red Sox were relevant again). Jeter is the man IMO, a guy who just goes into work every day and does his job without running to the media like that overrated douche A-Rod (yeah, Yankees fans hate him too). Even if people absolutely hate the Bronx Bombers, they respect Jeter because even though he is a highly paid athlete, he just goes to the office every day and gets it done. Tears will be shed on the day he finally has to hang up his cleats...which hopefully is years away!
