This just happened to me for the second time. I got some free chips on a promo and it was like the casino was letting me win, the same way a drug dealer might supply the good stuff to a brand new client trying to get him hooked.
I was given some free casino money so I made a few big plays on black in roulette. I figure either lose it fast without wasting time or, if I get lucky, then I run up a balance and start thinking about grinding out rollovers at Blackjack.
So I got lucky at the roulette and switched to Blackjack. That's where it got weird. I played a lot of blackjack in a previous life and I know how it should go. You can have your lucky streaks but if you make a lot of plays flat betting with basic strategy, your balance will inevitably erode. You should not be up 400 bucks playing 10 bucks a hand after 1000 hands.
But that's what happened. The good cards I was getting felt completely unnatural. As I say, it was like they were trying to create that rush that the addict never forgets and chases forever.
This is the second time I have experienced this. VIP lobbed some free chips my way a few years back and I made a good chunk. This time it was Bookmaker. Thank you to them, by the way.
Unfortunately for them, I completed the rollover and shifted the casino funds to the sportsbook and will never look at the casino again.
