I see where you can get a free one from bookmaker. Are there any monthly fees with the free pagers ?

Usually they will cover the fees if you maintain a certain balance.
I used to have one from Royal back in the day.
I dont think people use them anymore with the new technology. We can get updated faster on our cells.

My Iphone has the greatest sports scoreboards you could ever want and in real time and they are applications so do not have to click a lot of links to get to them.

sure i use a pager,no fees ever,got it on ebay,i would never,repeat never,carry any kind of phone around,phones are a pain in the ass,everytime it rings it is somebody wanting something or bad news,biggest waste of time ever,talking on the phone

What you don't realize is he is BUSY DOING SOMETHING and isn't available to talk to you, doesn't want to talk to you or doesn't want to be interupted by the bullshit and rudeness that accompanies most cell phone users on public.

People who are busy and have lives seldom answer there cellphones unless they are driving or at home/work.
