Tonight in a huge snooker match, where the oddsmakers seem to fallen asleep, we have Alistair Carter from England as a -160 favorite over Mark Williams of Wales. This is a second round match, and when I was making up my own lines, I had him as a -400 favorite. I'm not sure what the linesmakers were thinking here. Clearly they have lost their mind.

Going to turn the match on now and enjoy some late night snooker.

Giant, I'm really sweating this out! I searched for hours on SBR looking for a billiards section. If this doesn't prove that it deserves one nothing will.Thank God for this in-game thread, it is nearly impossible to find a live feed but i've managed to subscribe to Welsh Radio for play by play commentary. The noise is fuzzy and it's hard to tell what's going on.

Where are you following the game?

I heard Carter looks pretty poise heading into the next frame. I hope that's true. He usually excels near the end when the crowd gets behind him.

Seaweed, I'm actually on the phone with one of my Chinese contacts, Yu Mang Wi, and he is giving me up to the minute play-by-play on each shot being taken.

The only problem is the crowd is so noisy at the China Championship played in the Crystal Palace of Beijing in the Universitys gymnasium, I'm having a little trouble hearing Yu Mang Wi.

They are a few frames in, and it's 2-2. Yu Mang Wi has been adamant on the fact that Carter has a look of determination in his eyes. Let's hope he can prevail.
