Its absolutely unreal, 148 in July...38 in December, nearly a 75% drop in oil price in less than 6 months

yeah it was just really suprising for me, that on top of the huge precipitous drop oil has already taken...that we saw oil dip under 40 AFTER opec made another big move......
should be interesting to continue to watch... I'm sure eventually we settle back up at 70-80 or more but that might not be for a year or more... but really I don't think anyone has a firm grasp on what will happen yetComment -
Some big Wall St. brokerage dropped their projected value of oil futures for 2009 to 43 dollars a barrel from their previous estimate of 68 dollars a barrel so clearly no one's really got oil figured out for the immediate future, but Id definitely like to lock in today's gas prices for the next 10 years and take my chancesComment
