Nicky, the average game I throw down between 200-500. When Im frisky I got for $1000. Rarely over 1000 unless Im on tilt, then I go for 1500 or more.

the only reason i didn't guess yours was because i haven't seen much of your posting style. . i need to see more.. but based on what i have seen, i think you are up there.. more like 350 a game.. i could be wrong.. i haven't studied you enough yet..

I'm flattered Nicky, and also quite impressed at how close you were. Typically I bet $50/game on my handicapped picks, and $20/game when I want to have action on something on TV without any appreciable edge to me. I do exceed the $50 when I think the situation warrants it, but not often.

I've been at these levels for three years now and really don't feel any desire to increase them. I have other streams of income that I rely on to keep me financially stable, and hope to keep sports betting as simply an entertaining hobby. Obviously if my skill developed to where it was a consistently profitable activity, I would increase my stake size to maximize the benefits, but currently I'm just an average handicapper, satisfied to win a few more than I lose.

Props Nicky, you're pretty close, my average bet is about $200 ( sometimes up to $500) a game.

BUT, I've been betting $50-75 per game lately as I'm in a huge slump.

Seriously, 0-6 in NHL the last couple of days. Not good.

It isn't impossible for me, as I've proven already.

I get the reputation for not being a gambler. It isn't a fair rep at all; I love to gamble. I just don't bet money I can't afford. And thats why I haven't been betting this season; I simply couldn't afford it, it wasn't like I enjoyed just picking games and not betting on them.

Having my best bets in NFL go 18 - 6 without having money on them was not fun, trust me!

I can afford to take a stab on this game. Win or lose, I won't regret it.

Thanks for your concern Nicky, but I'll be fine. This won't be my first bet, and it won't be my last.

You are right on this one Nicky. Mom mom works at a supermarket and there is a Chinese restaraunt next door. Every night she says somebody comes over and wires 8k-9k over to China. Every phucking night!!!

I eat there occasionaly, its a small place, buffett $7.99.

nope..... I'm a real small timer..

not 75.... maybe 3.4% of my bets have been over 75 over the last 12 months.


mostly my unit size, will come out to be (depending on my bankroll and other factors) between $ 19.50 and 27ish...


I currently am betting 0... I went on a hot streak, made a big withdrawal to get before Christmas, left about 15% of my bankroll in my account.... and went like 1-11 starting out with the Tenn/Temple game and ending with the steelers/ravens game.

I'm gonna take a break till somtime in Jan, after christmas and my road trip (if I can pay for my car to get fixed) Its a barrelled in Christmas in Chi-town
