    Is Derek Jeter's Career Over?
Probably going to start the season on the disabled list.

Going to be tough times for us Yankees fans it seems.

So much for the notion that Jeter, at 38 going on 39, could come back from an injury as severe as this and defy all odds by picking up right where he left off as still one of the premier shortstops in baseball, with no discernible loss of range afield or speed on the basepaths. I don’t know which was more painful Saturday at the Himes Ave. Yankee minor-league complex — Jeter loping and limping to first base on four infield groundouts, or watching him.
TAMPA — Nobody ever wanted to believe this — that even Derek Jeter would one day have to succumb to Father Time. But that’s what happened Sunday at Yankee camp when, the day after…

wasn't covering much ground before the injury. made a living flaring hits to short right center using his bat like a pool cue (fairly successfully i might add) but the end is closer than right around the corner.

@ people thought who thought he would catch Rose. Was a thread within the last year saying it. Morons, peace.

guys gonna miss 5 games. Anyone who thought they guy was gonna play til 42 and not slow down is delusional.

I think alot of yankee fans are overreacting, pitching is still good if they stay healthy. Granderson be back in may. Only question mark is Tex.

          Put a fork in him.

Or at least slap it out of his hand.

I agree the pitching is good, but they lack depth in the field

                Catcher is weak

No good back up to Tex except Youk....and he is the main 3rd baseman.

                Cano has little backup.

What is with signing Wells ?

I see them possibly finishing under 80 wins

                  Agree.

Jeter will decline, but I think itll drop over time, not immediately.

Jeter was done years ago, this year it should show more because he won't have a cast of all stars to make the team look good. If jeter is your best player your team is not very good.

He's not the best player, not even close......Cano is a legit MVP candidate

Yankees will be fine....great pitching overall and a decent offense

Also an outfield of Gardner-Granderson-Ichiro is easily the best defensive OF in the league

IMO the Yankees are better off with Nunez and Youkillis than they are Jeter and A-rod.

Youkillis is having a great spring.

2-32 cano is the Yankees best player now that everyone is hurt. He is not the best player on the Yankees just the only one not too old or too hurt to start opening day.
