Ya, I guess we all have different opinions on coaches. I think he's a great coach but understand both sides. At this point I could care less. All I want is for KU to cover and win SU. After that, I'll digress and give you the benefit of the doubt.

I'm just saying that given the talent he has to work with every year and the success he has in the regular season, I'd expect a little more from the NCAA Tournament if I were a Kansas fan.

Maybe because michigan state tends to underachieve in the regular season and then their expectations are lowered come tourney time. Obviously not every year but there have been so many seasons where Michigan state started the year ranked top 5 or top 10, dropped throughout the season, and then made a run in March.

Good point. When Izzo took over for Heathcote, MSU was an NIT team more or less. Not to mention that when Izzo took over, UM was the dominant program in the state/country (i.e. not far from removed from the 1989 championship; Fab 5 era, etc...). His first two years there, he had little talent and went to the NIT...after that, it has been all NCAA tournament and 6 final four. Given the sheer randomness of the tournament (i.e. the best team almost never wins it), 1 NCAA championship is more than enough for me.

On the other hand, when Self took over, Kansas was (still is) a college basketball "blueblood." Roy did a great job there. Self stepped into a great situation.

All that matters at this point is KU is moving on as they should and UNC is heading home. Why is water cooler talk.

I'm sure bill self is quite comfortable in what he's accomplished regardless of what us non people say. He's one of the few that can say he won a championship.
