    Do small conference teams with high expectations/seeds ever meet expectations?
    Seems like only times smaller schools go far are on cinderella runs out of nowhere

    New Mexico another fraud as usual

    VCU, Butler, Memphis (when stacked)

    The ones who are staples can. The others no. And Gonzaga never has.

      MWC always so overrated and pathetic come tourney time. CSU got lucky they played some middle of the pack team from another fraud conference or they would've been out too.

          I don't really count Memphis since they have been a "power" for years

          VCU and Butler getting there.....Like you said, staples

          More often than not just seems like the smaller schools with low seeds shit the bed early on.....

                I agree with this thread.

                It seems like these teams do a lot better when it's not expected. When their is expectations, they play tight. Just look at Gonzaga today. They weren't the hunter, they were the hunted and it was a whole new ball game for them.
