Do you all ever bet vs. your own team? For example, I'm a TB (Bucs) fan but, knew that ATL was most likely going to win that game, and was tempted to bet ATL on the moneyline.. however, I've never been able to bet against my own teams and then put myself in the position of rooting against my own team (to win my bet)... how do y'all handle this? My personal policy is I never bet against my own team, but this policy has probably cost me some good $$ over the years.. just doesn't seem right though as a fan.

I bet against my home town teams alot.... I feel like I know when they are due for a let down, or from reading home town papers...when they are gonna do well.
This weekend, I lost big time betting against the Steelers... I really thought, and still do think that the Ravens win that game about 76% of the time.
The nice thing is, having a bad beat, when YOUR team wins at least lessens the sting of losing moneyComment -

It's hard to bet the Jets, Wizards, UVA in football and basketball, plus I still find it hard to bet for or against the Red Sox. I'd rather stay away from my favorite teams, In gambling life I only have favorite teams for 1 day to 1 week.Comment -
