Florida is not going to get a #1 because the SEC has been weak and because they did not impress today.

They do deserve one, because the numbers don't lie, but Kansas is going to get the last #1 I think.

Hopefully they'll give Florida a 2, because the committee might screw them and drop them all the way to 3.

Florida has more bad losses. They lost to Kentucky, a non-tourney team, they lost to Arkansas, a non-tourney team, they lost to Tennessee, a non-tourney team, and they lost to Ole Miss, who probably wasn't going to make the NCAAs except for their impressive performance in the SEC tournament. Gonzaga's only two losses were to teams ranked in the top 13 at the time.

Florida has 7 losses and 6 of the 7 were to unranked teams.

The SEC probably isn't that far above the WCC this year.

I'm sure some #1-#2 seeds would love to have a #3 Florida team in their bracket...

Florida is a very good team and no one wants to see them in their bracket, but this thread is about their résumé and what seed they'll get.

I would have them as borderline 1/2, the committee probably has them borderline 2/3.

If I could get the chance I'd soak Florida's entire team in gasoline and light them bitches on fire and laugh as they all burn to death

Florida blows out weak teams which juices them up in the ratings. Against good teams, they are even and seem to melt down in close games. They are a computer model's dream, but a computer bettor's nightmare as they are always rated higher by the models than they deserve to be.

                          Florida vs. RPI top 100: 14-6 (Home: 7-0, Road/Neutral: 7-6)

                          Gonzaga vs RPI top 100: 13-2 (Home: 5-1, Road/Neutral: 8-1)

Florida is easily a step or two below Gonzaga.

Gonzaga just not athletic enough. They will have trouble executing their offense once they face more athletic teams. They play better as an underdog than as a favorite.

I disagree - I think Gonzaga is one of the most athletic teams around...... Their only Achilles will be facing teams who are very big inside.
