how do you make your car appear to be stolen?

like jamming a screw driver into your ignition key slot to make it look like someone hot wired your car?

this is a interesting show on comedy central. the guy was drunk, crashed into a mailbox. he just made it appear to be stolen and went home to call the police.

I actually had a car salesman tell me to do this when I was trying to trade in my wifes truck. She was upside down on the payments and had full coverage. His advice was to drive it to Atlanta and leave it with the keys in it. Once insurance paid for it come back and talk to him

yeah, when i was in detroit. i know people just park their car on the edge of wayne state campus...so in case when the cops ask them why they're in the bad neighborhood, they can say, they're going to class. that place is pretty dangerous, there are about over 10 people i know got robbed in the parking lot (by knife/gun).
