Has anyone here ever been in the press box wined and dined during game.Lots of comps?

Is it true that at all pro sports league games their is an all you can eat and drink shindig for anyone holding a press pass?One grizzled veteran sportwriter in the twin cities said he became obese and an alcoholic because he was lured into attending all games partially because of the free food and drink supplied to all people holding press passes.

Has anyone here ever been in a press box at a pro sports game where this took place?

Another one is,you have these new or remodeled stadiums in northern climates and the network guys are in parkas because they are in open air boxes.Does that make sense?

Yes...I've been in the VIP box at a UCLA football home game this year....vodka/cran's all night....freshly cooked mexican food in the suite..all kinds of snacks other drinks....TV on the wall was showing a Dodgers/Cubs playoff game..

I think you guys are talking about luxury boxes, not the press box. Of course luxury boxes have a ton of food and beverage on offer. You, or more likely your company, pay out the ass for it.
