I used to live in Portland, Ore. I'd take people up to Seattle in limos all the time, but it never seemed like a place I'd want to live. Although it is close to the international border, and some of the best vacations I've ever taken were on islands in the Pudgy Sound (Puget Sound). Getting around using the ferry system is a little reminiscent of NYC.

      Why do you ask, JJ?

It's not that bad, Archie. Winter is depressing everywhere north of the 45th parallel, and still millions of people call it home. By contrast, summer in the North is the best on the planet, never stays hot for too long, and it stays light until 10PM for a few months. I'm giving serious thought to selling this place and moving to Roseburg, Oregon. Then I'd be in the local markets of the Giants, A's and Mariners.

I've been to Seattle twice. It's a nice city. It'll probably be snowing so dress appropriately.
