The day it happens Lakers lose half their "fans"
Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Kobe Bryant appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night, and when asked when he will retire, Byrant said “it will be soon.” He also promised he will only ever play for the Lakers franchise.

Maybe Kobe thinks Lakers wont resign him after next year and thus makes these statements. Will be interesting if they don't and see what he does when push comes to shove.

But I hope they sign him for another 4 years for 50 Million and sign Howard for 5 years at 125 million. Then watch what kind of shit they have to pay peanuts to to fill up the other 11 spots.

LMAO How did I know you would be the first to comment?

I was going to entitle it 'William Walters suicide watch now officially on' But Kobe will play another 5 years I would imagine unless of course they do what I said and dont offer him another deal or one he feels isnt worth it, then he will 'retire'.

Always bad when a player spends his whole career in one town. I guess he should have signed elsewhere years ago with 2 other stars.

The NBA reminds me a lot of organizations that I work with. The moment that an individual or several individuals become more important than the organization and its long-term well-being, is the moment that the organization can no longer sustain itself.

Still can. All anyone needs to do is take a pay cut like most of the Heat team did.

Kobe to OKC? San Antonio? Celtics? Raptors?

My pick is Kobe dies in a Laker jersey.

You are ignorant if you think the Lakers didn't have fans before the Kobe era.

Imagine the big three of Westbrook, Kobe, and Durant. Wow.

Bryant is the best Laker of all time. Followed by Magic and then Kareem.

They will erect a statue of Bryant. Fadeaway jumper. Scissor kick legs. If they do it right it has the potential to be the most unique statue to date.
