last year i cashed out $2900 worth of gift cards, 2 ipads, and a suite at the bash. about $5k worth of stuff
if being pro and cashing out stuff for being here is a waste of time, then how do you describe being here without even getting anything for it?Comment -

#38Good. Hope they make pizzas 2K points. Then you fukks will figure out what real pizza tastes like and fork over the cash to treat yer lady (or guy) to a real meal.
Seriously if you're on SBR to get "stuff" then you probably need to figure out what's going wrong with your real $ plays.
Here you go...

#42Pavy there is a difference in enjoying the process of tossing points around/playing poker vs actually trying to earn a prize. It's a fun hobby. Plus there are some sharp people lurking on Sbr and I've leaned a lot about the industry.Originally posted by pavyracerWhy are you here?
But I don't care about actually getting "things". I've cashed out an iPad and some amazon cards...saved me trouble of buying the woman a bday present. But I'm never gonna bitch about prices etc from a free loyalty program.Comment -

#45I think the bitching is due to a 10% increase that happened in Feb 1st (220 to 246) and a 5% increase that happened on March 1st (262) for pizza. If there is a 5% increase every month the price of pizza will go through the roof creating forum inflation.
I remember when pizza used to be 100 points 3 years ago (and that was before SBR poker) where a good hard working poster could feed himself or his family with a nice warm pizza without having to hit a 5 teamer every night. They can increase the price of Segway by 100%..no one will complain. But targeting the pizza with monthly price increases is despicable with 9% unemployment rate with almost 25% rate in people under 21 years old. Take away our toys but not our food!Comment -

#46It now costs 3000 points or $200 charity donation to become a Pro.Originally posted by tatddyI've never paid a dime pal so it's free
As if making money off posters losses wasn't enough! Now they want their points back and a charity donation that they will probably write off and benefit from.

#49this is getting ridicilous. just last december the $50 gift cards were 1070 points or so and the price goes up twice in 3 months? Its probably because SBR is getting less advertisement money after the the incident last december considering draftday is the only real advertisement. Not sure if going pro is even worth it anymore.Comment -
