    Mike Trout must be starving.
Angels paid him $510,000 and rewarded him with a $20,000 atta boy. Looks like the dollar menu is taking a toll on him.

It is surreal to see all the money in that dugout and the best hustle player is making peanuts.

I think the players are okay with having to pay their dues with 2-3 years until they are arb eligible and 6 years until they can get a lucrative contract on the free agent market, since they can then get Gauranteed money for the rest of their days and not just get cut like in the NFL and have the "contract" be null and void

Trout got over 1 million signing bonus before he played an inning of minor league ball, so that helps too

No just he plays catch with Vernon Wells 21 Mill and Josh Hamilton 15 Mill. It's fukin ironic just like lakerboy said they get paid once they are past the point of prime condition.

Duece I hope he gets all he can. I find the kid talented and would hate to see any injury give him the short end of the stick. Guy runs bases the way I like

His agent is already playing the "bad cop" role.

The Angels better pony up some more money or they're going to be getting no hometown deals when his time is up.

gotta play through the rookie contract the way it should be. Gotta show that you can produce consistently.

He should keep his mouth shut. When his contract is up stiff these crooks and sign a 300 mil deal with the yanks.

well there has been a trend for teams to lock up younger guys before its time so they can pay them earlier but less in the long run like the brewers did with ryan braun

how does that guy feel about being an mvp who will be making 6 mil or whatever in his prime (though he did get an extension since the at 20 mil a year...but per year over his career still much lower than what he could have made)

Agreed, lock him up now or lose him. The kid is a stud, why give him the chance to leave.
