We gain immunity to common day to day stress. We are mental soldiers.

it's a well known fact that gamblers lose about 12 yrs of life. the stress of the games, the constant heart pounding, the stress of losing your money and going broke and not being able to pay your bills. the lack of sex.. (sex is healthy and makes you live longer) the lack of exercise we gamblers get.. instead of being out walking or at the gym, we are home.. the eating of bad foods.. we tend to eat shit like pizza, chips and more alcohol for the games.. gamblers are very inactive and lazy.i have been to a lot of funerals of bettors and bookies who have died prematurely.

so it takes 12 yrs off your life..

so we ask.. is this all worth it??

I often get in the home gym while watching the games to help blow off the stress Nicky...

Nicky...what kind of build did you have when you were 25? did you lift? buy you a home gym man, get in shape and work off that stress...

                    archie,

i was massive... i used to bench 350 lbs, 2 times.. i was strong on the bench, that's it.. i had natural strength.. i havn't touched a weight in 4 yrs now.. but instead of going back to gym, i am starting for my new years resolution to do 1,000 push ups a day.. push ups are great for upper body strength.. and good for triceps too.. i will start that soon and easy to do.. no need to buy machines for 2k, or make room for them in the house.. push ups is easy and i can do it anywhere on a floor..it'll keep me in shape, too.. i love push ups, they do wonders for me, and i can watch my games at same time and not miss a beat...

1,000 push-ups by the way would put you above hershell walker pace... start with 100 and add 25 every week till you get to 500...then do some clapping pushups or one-handers rocky style.... I love push-ups Nicky... I can do 10 one-handed push ups while dribbling a basketball---true story... I need to figure out how to do vids so I can do that for y'all

Well, the sweating was worth it, and a good rush last night....and the profits helped me sleep a whole lot better, and woke up in a great mood.....

short term, gambling and winning can make life taste alot sweeter

I think most daily gamblers actually live very long because their minds are very active all the time.

THe pounding of the heart while sweating out games actually serves as cardiovascular training, thus keeping the heart healthy and strong.

                                    archie,

you know what's weird.. 4 yrs ago, i was able to do 150 push ups in one shot (maybe some were cheat, like not all the way down, i'd go halfway down near the end), but for some reason, i can never ever ever ever do 1 chin up.. it is by far the toughest exercise in the history of the world.. i guess i am not strong enough in my entire body.. i know this exercise uses every muscle in your body.. just too tough for me.. when i'd train, i focused alot on doing chest exercises. i was always strongest in bench in my gym.. no one wanted to spot me cause they were scared they might drop the bar on my head, and so was i.. and i could also do dips pretty good..

but i sucked at every other exercise in the gym. I hated doing legs with a passion and forget about doing back.. And i despised doing arms..i was strictly a bench guy..

                                    i wish i can do 1 pull up, but i can't even do 1... i don't know why..
