    7 of the 8 games tonight are over/under 5 1/2

Do the handicappers even cap these games or do they just figure 5 1/2 is a pretty good estimate of any NHL game?

90% of games are 5.5, otherwise they are 5 or 6

B/c there is no scoring in soccer what could they do move the line down to 1? If any1 scores a goal you're pushing, or 4 then they have to score 5 goals for you to lose, entirely different set of circumstances when there is virtually no scoring

In NHL the range of possible scores is much larger, could be 1 goal, could be 8+ goals, just seems unlikely that every single game would be capped to the same exact half a goal

Correct, only Canadians watch/play hockey, just curious how they came up with exact identical totals on every game

Scoring is up a bit in hockey, mostly I think due to a rule change that makes it a bit easier to score on a power play.

It's true that last year and in years past there were a lot more 5s than we are seeing now, now it's a rare game that comes with a 5.

They are not the same, as the prices on each of those lines are different.

But most games land between 5 and 7.

                        In 2006-2007, 54.0% of games landed on either 5(25.6%), 6(10.7%), or 7(17.8%).

Also, in 2006-2007, 51.2% of games had 5 or fewer total goals scored, and 48.8% had six of more total goals scored.

You're very open minded. I rarely enjoyed watching it until I started betting on it. And I don't have to bet on it to enjoy it anymore. Not only that but it's making me a lot of money. You're missing out

Well if the total is the "same" all the time, doesn't that kinda give the bettor somewhat of an advantage as long as he picks and chooses and does his research? There's more options to betting hockey than you know. 5dimes offers lines from 5-6 on all games, and reduced puck lines.
