Is ESPN's Streak for Cash lying here?
If you guys dont know Samuel Louis Charles won 25 straight games to win 1M bucks on Sunday.

He says he didnt even watch the final 7 minutes because he thought it was a loss, me knows that he didnt watch because he got to pick a -200 fav and somehow HEDGED like 250K on the Boys ML so was guaranteed at least 500K either way. (I know most dont have these funds but he had a whole week to scrape up the hedge money)

Here he insists he didnt hedge, i call BULLSHIT:

Eric (Dayton, OH: Hi Samuel, I wanted to know if you considered hedging your bet? You could have bet a large amount on the Cowboys to win and therefore you are guaranteed to make some money.

SportsNation Samuel Louis-Charles: No, I wasn't thinking about that. I was going to go all out. No hedging.

Package handlers make much less than drivers, if I'm not mistaken. I doubt he could have gotten much loot together to hedge.

yep, seems like a real intense guy, not much humor in him.

Said on Mike & Mike he doesnt even own a car yet.

He is a liar though and i dont get why would he lie, first he said he turned off the game and his sister called him after the win, then he says online that he worked the lateshift for his deliverys and he found at at 3Am that the Steelers won. yeah it was so hard to knock check a ****ing scoreboard for 8 hours to find out if you won a million bucks

He'll be on welfare in 6 months.

contests like this should set the people up with a reputable financial advisor to be honest, but they never do.

                  Its true.

ESPN interviewed the guy couple of days ago... he actually works at UPS / graveyard shift

Best part was when the guy from ESPN handed out that BIG ASS check for 1M ...

i'm happy for him, i'm glad someone who seems like they need the money won.

and i worked at UPS in the 90's part-time on 3rd shift sorting and loading next day air packages into containers that went on the planes. when i started we made 8 bucks for about 15-20 hours a week. I think now they pay 8.50 and you still only get about 15-20 hours. after that big strike in 97, UPS agreed to start combining jobs so workers that had been there for a while could get 6-8 hours. i worked about 5 years and made around 12 something when i left, plus you got kick-ass benefits for a part-time job, and a lot a vacation and personal day pay.
i kinda regret leaving, but my back couldn't take it anymore, it's still wacked from working there, but now they have the super hub 2000 that's almost all automated, it's nothing like the old hub i worked in. I couldn't stick around long enough for them to start those combined shifts for more hours and build that new hub.

I don't think he would even need to get together the loot to hedge. There would be people willing to take that bet on credit if he could prove that he would win 1 mill if that game hit with ESPN. He could have called a casino in vegas or something....I think most of them would have taken that bet.

well i think he was from Connecticut, and ESPN is based out of Connecticut, or at least i think it is.

He did have his picks in before each game, would have been awfully hard to find an ESPN guy who could hit 25 in a row just like that
