Can you imagine how much dead money is left in sportsbooks accounts that will never be withdrawn or played? For one reason or another through death, illness, alcoholic binges and just mistakes where people thought they lost bets and abandon accounts there has to be lots of $$$ left in accounts. The prime suspect would be where there was a pitching scratch and the game was a non starter where you thought you lost.

Banks have the same dealie and they post lost money statements from dormant accounts for people and relatives to see.Doesn't do much good though and I'm sure they won't contact you even if they can.

Then you have the lottery where you have massive amounts of won cash not claimed. The states null and void payments after a year.I think Vegas sportsbooks do the same.It goes to show how many idiots play the lottery with all the unclaimed money in the system. It seems like a huge percentage of the people that win big playing the lottery don't even know they won after checking the numbers on the draw date.

So,has anyone here found money in a sportsbook account they forgot about or couldn't account for?Maybe it was a case where the book put the money in by mistake??Has anyone ever been a customer at a sportsbook where you got e-mails or snail mail telling your cash balance at the end of a year? That could cause problems so maybe that's the reason they don't get into doing it.
