Carmelo Anthony sets NBA record tonight
Most points in a quarter. He got at least 33 in the 3rd quarter alone tonight vs. Minnesota. Looking for final total now..

I just counted 34 counting play by play but its either 33 or 34. IN ONE QUARTER. I mean if a team scores 33 in a quarter that is a very big quarter.

He got 33 in one quarter...which tied an NBA record. And to answer the previous post.....Kobe has never scored 33 in one quarter.

I mean, the guy gets to 20 by himself in 1 quarter it may flash through my head as a coach to double and triple team him. Or some kind of box and 1 zone. This just shows that Minnesota has a horrible head coach.

Chase, who else got that? They worded it on TV that he set the record.

Grizzlies really handed him that record, great job by Carmelo to seize it.

He got 34 so I guess thats the record by himself. According to CBS Sportsline play by play he got 34.

Nevermind he missed a free throw. 33.

Yea he is the classic perfect example of an underachiever. This guy could average 35 a night if he really applied himself and pushed himself to the limit. With the advantage he has in being in Denver, and the thin air his body is use to, he should get 35 a night. He is just very laid back about the game.

So Gervin had 33 too huh. I'm glad Carmelo didn't break it then. Gervin was the man.

Everybody in Denver is hoping that Carmelo just shot himself out of his slump. Been a frustrating year for Carmelo. With the trade for Billups I am hoping that Carmelo comes around(I love how Billups just kept feeding him). Who know maybe some day we can be a challenge for the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs.

Man I hate what Parker and Ginobile did to us this week.

Melo is like Dan Marino, great in the regular season. Sucks when it matters, but without him the Nuggets are nothing.

what's sick was he only had 6 points with 6:35 remaining in the 3rd quarter... so that means he put up 27 points in a total of 6:35....
