Anyone have success with NBA quarter bets or 1h bets?

It seems as if these lines are simply just chopped in half or in quarters from what the full game line is. Although I am very inexperienced betting the NBA, it seems like it would be easy to identify teams that perform well in certain quarters or in the first half, and tend to under perform in other quarters

I thought the same thing. However, from my experience the shorter the playing time in the NBA the more variable teams are. Over the course of the entire game the better teams usually wins it out. However, in quarter or half situations anything can happen. Too erractic.
