maybe about 5% of the time I'd imagine. if this is a losing proposition most the time why risk your families well being over the rush and excitement of possibly winning some easy money gambling? family > gambling. Keep it a hobby and fire out some cheap long shot parlays here and there that could possibly win you a boatload but won't break the bank either is my advice

As a lifetime 45% winner I can say without a doubt YES!!!! Whenever you lose just double up the next bet. Keep repeating until you win.

THAT is AWESOME!!!!!
While I have no idea if it is possible, I am dabbling with doing this long term....BUT, I would never quit my career (and not just because I have a killer job....yes, I am one of the lucky ones).

Daimo got a mail order bride and kidnapped a baby? Amber Alert in full effect. Suspect is the angriest Asian you've ever seen. Driving a 2009 Jeep Liberty with bumper stickers reading, "Br0nxer is my hero," "Hardon 4 CanuckG," and "I stalk BIGDAY in my singlet."

yes. Teach the wife lesser sports like snooker, darts, and handball... You can start the kids out on European basketball and than work them upto NHL hockey... That leaves the major USA sports for yourself. It is possible to raise a family with sports betting, but you have to ease them into it slowly...

You can't feed a cat on gambling, let alone a family.

Pretty hard even if you don't quit your day job. The gambling and its swings (win or lose) can seriously dent your family relationships for years.

No !
It's one thing to gamble with YOUR future, but to gamble with your child's future is simply not being responsible.
A reckless way to live.

As long as your wife and kids are willing to live without luxury items (i.e. Food, shelter, clothes, etc....), then I would say YES! It's very doable.
I'm a gambling man by nature.....so I say GO FOR IT!!

Easier to raise yourself than raise a family.
Bet one ATS bet per year. Bet $20,000 on a -110 ATS line to win $18182.
Bet at the right time, Take your time.

Did this myself for bettewr part of a year.
Answer is no. Biggest obstacle will be books that limit you as most aren't in the business of serving your fimancial wellbeing.
Start with a minimum 50k BR, play at exchanges and books that are comfortable with your action and work on finding hedges/middles to minimize your risk, if you plan on having any kind of financial consistency that is...

I know three guys who do.
One has put all of his three kids through college, and made a homemaker out of his wife.
The other gambles, while his wife is a nurse
The last one is around 30 years old, and has a wife the same age who is a professional in her own right.
All live in nice neighborhoods, and never speak about their individual bets.

I am a profitable sports bettor. In October I lost almost $7,000 which at the time was over 33% of my bankroll. I lost another $2,500 in December and began to really question my methods and profitability. I have now won that money back, but if I had to bet every day to support my family and draw a wage from those funds it would have put a lot more stress on me.

people do gamble for a living(other than poker). not sure how they can continue to make a profit year after year. having sports gambling your only source of income has got to be scary as shit.
