There was nothing premature about that. Kos was badly hurt and wasn't defending himself. If a fighter is concious enough to fight, they'll defend themselves. No fighter is going to sit still doing nothing while getting punched in the chin. If you can't intelligently defend yourself while concious, that's a TKO. End of.
