I know. I look up and down the standings and there is a lot of cash being handed out to guys for making 4 football picks a week. Some nice Christmas bonuses. Very generous contest.

It was weird too. It was almost like SBR was trying to be secretive about it. They made it harder to enter and as a result participation was down from, like, 700 to 150. It was harder to see picks and results, and it was hardly talked about by SBR people while it was going on.

There was a major lack of publicity, particularly compared to some of the lesser contests like the 128 man stuff and this team thing that are plastered non-stop all over the main forum.

I tend to think of Beat The Prick as SBR's flagship contest, but it really took a back seat - except for one very important thing. The prize money.

I'm very pleased Sportsbook.com payout problems led me here. I'm wagering more consistently, learning some things, having some laughs, and I even earned some free $ in great contests like BTP! Thanks SBR!

Although I got pretty damn unlucky with my score distributions and didn't rake in as much as I had hoped, I still got more than enough to be happy. BTP remains one of the best contests on the net and I hope SBR brings it back in full force next year with a similar structure and payouts.
