Someone told me that you call Directv with a complaint that your local channels don't come in HD and ask about it or just ask about changing locals to the east or west coast network feeds.In about two days if you have an e-mail registered with your Directv account you will receive an e-mail saying to ask for 3 months of Showtime absolutely free.It says the offer is good till the end of the year.I just got mine this morning.

I'm not a real big fan of the majority of crap movies and series you see there but with so many channels given,there is always something good on one of them.Penn&Teller BS is pretty good.

Ask Directv about getting the 5 or 6 high def channels exclusively for HD customers and you get those for free for 3 months too.Movie channels,concert channels and Smithsonian.etc.

I get Showtime free from Time Warner and I only pay $5.00 a month for HBO. The only thing I watch on Showtime is Californication and Weeds.
