Laid off Illinois door factory employees turn decunct plant into fortress&demand work
Has anyone been keeping up with this national news story out of Chicago where a couple hundred ex employees that were just laid off from a financially collapsed window&door factory are holed up in the defunct factory making it into their disgruntled defunct fortress?

So what amm I missing here? The company has been bleeding red ink for ages and there is no longer a demand for the products they produce.Don't you think for a second if it were good times for the factory that the management wouldn't be in full production not laying anyone off.Companies fail!!!!!

The crux of the matter is that the employees expect the company's creditor Bank of America to keep them afloat with a line of credit.Bank of America did not want any of the federal bailout package but they were forced to partake in it.So now that's the excuse the employees are giving where the bailout is supposed to help them keep the factory open.Is the factory supposed to pump out doors and windows where there is no market or demand for them and throw them in Lake Michigan?

They come up with this bogus excuse crap where it's a law where you have to give 60 days notice to lay people off.Can you imagine how in 60 days disgruntled union folk could trash a factory and submit every kind of workers comp injury lawsuit to sexual discrimination lawsuit if they know the factory is doomed?

Then you have Obama and the whole looney left ACORN gang of Jesse Jackson saying that there should be help for the ex employees to keep working in the factory.

It all reminds me of the sirtcom Green Acres where Mr.Douglass was always pissed and saying it was crazy he had to climb the telephone pole to make a phone call while all the others thought it was normal procedure.Doesn't everyone keep open factories to give union employees jobs when the factory keeps losing a million bucks a month by staying in operation.

The media is all over this story and taking the ex employees side.

maybe jesse and crew should pay their salaries out his own pocket. he wont.

what is the media saying they should keep factory open? or just pay them in lieu of 60 days?

keeping factory open is ridiculous option obviously.
