its a good time, Nugget is a great place in my opinion, they ve done some good things on freemont the last yr or two, extends further, first fridays are cool, Commonwealth Bar is good, beauty bar, live bands in many spots, did a good job renovating old Fitzgerald hotel

I keep getting great offers from Fremont Casino. I have only been there one time and I didnt think that I gave them that much action. I played some $10 slots for a few hours and left up $900.


But each month they send me an offer for 4 nights hotel and a $500 freeplay. Also, EVERY meal will be comped for me and my family if they choose to attend. It mentions show tickets at the bottom at the discretion of the VIP host.


I know that the Fremont sucks, but I didnt even gamble very much. $500 freeplay is pretty damn good.The MOST that I could get at Golden Nugget is around $200 in freeplay. They do give me 5 nights free hotel stay, but I have to pay for my meals or use comps. At the Fremont, I dont have to use comps for the free meals. You guys might want to give the Fremont a few hours action so you can get the same in the future

NASCAR weekend here is pretty sweet, actually. Tons of traffic. It's not like when the NBA All-Star game was here bad, but it's bad. Also, the track is a bit of a trek outta town (i.e. the strip). Never been there, myself, but been by there a few times. It'd be fun to get up there and watch the boys/girls run.

I'm a big fan of 'old Vegas' - i.e. the Fremont Street area. Shorter run to the track from there, no doubt. Minutes count in my book. If you can score a deal there - sheet, it won't cost you much I figure. But you will need a rental car, no matter where you stay. There's some closer 'local' joints -- that are also fun, but you will need a rental. I avoid Vegas cabs like the plague. The cab rates are mental and keep going up what they can charge/get away with. It's part of why I avoid the strip now, unless I'm going to troll the Bellagio/Planet Hollywood/Aria area. Even for an out of shape punter like myself, it ain't bad.

Very nice. We're you signed up with their players card? I'm wanting to stay at the golden nugget next time around but don't have a card there. Obviously would love to get comped.
