I accidently wrote up my gracie selection in the wrong thread...

more so his brothers/family...

they basically created UFC just for the Gracie's as they were so dominant in martial arts/jiu jitsu....

so go back in time for the first UFC and see how no one knew what they were doing, when martial arts became actual fighting... and fighting 5 times in a night at that.


to be so dominant in a genre that they CREATE a sport for you... is pretty impressive...

the stuff guys are doing now... no one but royce was doing it in the first handful of ufc's

Gracie Family sure as a whole ... but Royce is a stretch, Look it up the "THEY CREATE a sport" is Rorion (Royce's brother) He used the UFC to show how good The Gracie Jiu-jitsu is so that his family could make money teaching it... it worked but everybody in the mma community knows that you could have put any BJJ Black Belt in there at that time they would have won, Its easy to beat somebody at something they know nothing about, karate guys and sumo guys and street fighters dont know what to do when it hits the ground. Im a BJJ Brown Belt with a mma record and i've taught sub grappling in Thailand and England as well as here in Cali trust me Vale tudo or anything gos fighting has been going on way before the ufc. Rickson (one of Royces older Bros) was winning these "UFC style" tourneys way before Royce. By the way you do know the opponents in that early UFC's were hand picked to lose to Royce right??
