If you are going to quit in a fight,at least fake a broken hand when you see you are being outclassed.I would think that the Latino customs of priding oneself with machismo and honor are really going to affect the potential star earning power De la hoya has in whatever venture he gets into.He's going to feel self conscious just showing up at ringside for fights.He should have faked eating a bad tortilla or something where he could have bowed out not being a losing quitter.

I think the original no mas by Duran was a rematch event and came early like the 4th or 5th. Afterwards Duran claimed he had a stomach virus, if I remember correctly. Duran was tough and maybe I'm the only one but I believed him.
I also think pretty boy did the right thing. He had lost every round and Manny was hitting harder. Yea quitting looks bad but no reason to risk serious injury when the chance to win is completely gone. I had no problem with the towel.Comment
