Bought in for $65 at the $2-$6 flex game at Monte Carlo
Hit a set on the flop with 2 spades on board. Checked the flop and the the puck bet & I re-raised. The turn was a brick and I bet out the max. He called & said, "I think I have kicker problems."
I replied, "I don't think you have kicker probkems, I think you have spade problems."
He rivered a spade with 9-4s.
I check raised him & then bet on every street and he says, "well it didn't cost me much to get there."
What a donkey!

Coop went out 8th. Small field, only top 2 got paid.
I was smallest stack when Coop went out & I went on a bit of a tear after that. Was dealt pp8, pp5, pp4, pp3 & pp2. All within a span of 18-19 hands.
Bullied the remaining players by playing aggressively pre flop & then I was dealt JJ & with two callers behind and an all in ahead of me, I shoved & somehow the hooks held up. At the end, the chip lead had me out stacked 4x, & he offered a chop.
$245.
I took it instantly. Later learned he had to be at McCarran for 6:00 am & he said he needed to get to bed.
He was a really good player & likely would have dismantled me easy.
So the current balance is $809.
Guess I'll be saying bye to Coop tomorrow!!!!

I saw that and responded. I am sorry though for that play, it looked to be the right side but the Chacin pitching change was like a bad omen or something. Atlanta only -121 with Teheren did not look right at all, I guess it was a play that I outwitted myself on.Comment -

Shortly I will be checking out of the Monte Carlo. I will be heading down to Harmon Avenue to make sure there is still availability at the Harbor Island apartments. After I pay for a week and the taxes and some groceries to get me by for a week, I will be slightly below $600. However, Coop is gone now so I will not be spending money frivolously on liquor that I don't need to pay for and expensive restaurants that I don't need to eat at. It's time to get back to the grind and make some real money this week. It appears that daily poker tournaments have been the most lucrative for me. I have been playing some very good poker, but in particular I've been playing very good tournament poker. I think I am down $120 playing cash games but I am up $700 playing tournament poker. There is absolutely no way I am up money playing blackjack and I must try to limit the amount of money I spend playing blackjack this week. If I had to guess I would say that I am up close to $200 sports betting. I think it is time to focus more on poker, and less on the table games.
It's time to put this trip into lockdown and exhibit better money management and much more discipline when it comes to playing games that I may not be too familiar with.

Of course there is, but players have everything from the shoe to the shortened blackjack odds to contend with.
Jay, see if you can find any single deck BJ, although if you do, it's probably expensive.

Either way, staying away is probably the best advice
I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to head down Tropicana and I am going to give a new hotel a shot. this is definitely not the strip and to be completely honest this barely measures up to some places that are downtown. A video is forthcoming......Comment -
