I still say Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf is the best shooter I've ever seen. Bought tickets to games just to see him play. He got a raw deal. Way too much criticism for taking a principled stand.

He's also the best free throw shooter in NBA history.

Playing advocate, but wouldnt that said true freedom also give the owners/teams the right to blackball him if/when they saw fit. NBA employment is a privledge and not a right and therefore those signing the checks (the owners) have the right to blackball him if they see his behavior/beliefs as having a negative impact on there business.

I agree. But my reply wasn't about if NBA owners have the "freedom" to fire someone they deem a negative influence on their teams, because of course they do.
