Hurricanes number one team in the country
A clinic today. One bad loss to Arizona on the schedule in Hawaii, crushing the likes of Duke,Carolina, beat Michigan State. ACC on an off year but Michigan losing. Indiana losing. Florida getting crushed at Arkansas. Miami crushed Duke already. Kansas off two horrible losses. Maybe Arizona, then Miami. Should be interesting to see the polls

    Its all about the U

They're the hottest but injuries haven't affected them and they might be peaking at the wrong time. Interesting to see how this plays out

They are 11-0 at full strength

2 losses with Reggie Johnson hurt
1 loss with Durand Scott suspended

I like this team too. No real holes, and good depth.

If they can get past Duke away, they're going to be ranked #1

They have the best talent In the nation. Now will that translate into a number one seed or a national title idk about all that. I feel like one off 3 pt shooting night they could be knocked out. They also struggle against teams who slow it down ala Indiana state.

I am really hoping Miami gets a top seed, they do have to go to durham and play Duke on March 2nd but Miami is 10-0 in conference play. This team is putting up great numbers on the road though. Scott, Kadji,Larkin. All about the u. Great inside game, killing it from 3's, tough defense . Larranaga has done a great job

They even got the Heat coming to the Hurricanes games. If I was a recruit looking at colleges I wouldnt mind heading to the beautiful beaches of Miami to play ball

Dwayne and Lebron at the hurricanes game

I have no problem with Miami being ranked #1 right now, they probably deserve it. But it doesn't mean anything, I think they will be one of the bigger busts in the tourney.

This years Florida State of 11'-12', and the ACC is twice as bad this year. Early flameout in the tournament IMO.

Funny how the OP leaves out the losses to Florida Gulf Coast & Indiana State too. Respect for the job Larranaga has done tho. Just don't see them going deep in the tourney.

I love this team but I see the glaring similarities too. Just depends if the 3s are falling or not really.

Meh, I wouldn't put too much stock in those two early losses right now either. We do agree on Canes being busts though.

Oh I know I'm not putting too much stock in them, but they still happened and that can't be denied. They also got steam rolled by Arizona (another team I'm not crazy about.)

And Florida just got blown out by Arkansas. Just about every team has at least one bad loss, and the earlier they happen in the season, the less relevant they become.

I definitely think the game in Durham will be interesting to watch but all of their 3 losses came at the first of the season, two of them in Hawaii at the Diamond Head classic. They have crushed UNC twice, beat N.C. State in Raleigh, crushed Duke by almost 30 points, are 11-0 and a bettors best friend since the start of the year. A number one seed in the tourney would be huge.

The truth is, I wouldnt be surprised if any top 10 ten team in the country is a bust in the tourney. Betting wise, a lot of them are already busts. Miami has been money in the bank this year against the spread.

Abother sh*tfest today by top 10 and top 20 teams like Ohio State, Minny and Arizona. Duke looks like crap and gets a one point win over 10-13 boston college. Miami and Duke play in Durham in March , hopefully Miami get the top seed over Duke but they need to close this month out. What we need is a top 20 against the spread rankings for teams. Miami has been the most profitable in the country, 15-4 overall ATS numbers, 9-2 ATS in 2013.

Props to Michigan one of the few top 10 teams with a decent record at covering the spread. Kansas has been atrocious. ASlot of teams like San Francisco Dons putting up impressive ATS numbers. Villanova, Butler. Western Illinois at 14-5 ATS, summit league games.

ACC on an off year but Michigan losing. Indiana losing. Florida getting crushed at Arkansas. Miami crushed Duke already. Kansas off two horrible losses. Maybe Arizona, then Miami. Yes, that was a ridiculous loss in back in November in the second game of the year without Durand Scott and adams but Georgia Tech at home and Wake forest were much worse. Miami was still one of the most profitable teams to wager on this year ats. Carolina was pretty incredible as well against the spread this year as well as the billikens.

like the billiken staue says "grin and begin to win"

"Everyone agrees that the Billiken is a good-luck figure who represents "things as they ought to be." The designer of the Billiken also seems to be fact. Florence Pretz, a Missouri art teacher and illustrator, patented her "design for an image" of the jovial creature in 1908.

It is believed that Pretz found the name Billiken in a poem by the Canadian poet Bliss Carman and gave the name to her patented design, which she sold to the Billiken Company of Chicago. Along with the horseshoe, the rabbit's foot, and the four-leaf clover, the billiken is one of America's favorite good-luck pieces"
