Windows Vista SUCKS

Does anyone actually use this junk garbage? Fixing to install XP on brand new computer because this bloatware won't hold a connection.

I was forced to buy an HP laptop with that garbage on it. I sent the laptop back to HP and told them to install XP on it or give me my ****ing money back.

I am so fed up with Microshaft that I am thinking of switching to Apple computers. I have a lot of friends who have Apple and they never have ANY problems.

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous that I am sitting here installing and uninstalling things and drivers and software to try to get this garbage to function decently.

i have xp on my home computer and vista on my laptop. i havent gotten around to finding some hacks to customize vista. if i do that it might be ok.

All my friends do very advanced software work for the DoD. I would love to see you call them illiterate to their faces. LOL Yo would be toast.

well first my point was from a consumer stand point.

Vista has horrible Wireless problems. That itself causes a ton of users hassle. It DOES suck RAM -- even at 4GB I still have some issues. I'm thinking about upgrading to 64bit so I can get up to 8GB or higher -- that is, IF I stay with Vista.

In other news -- I need a cheap laptop to take to India for the summer. Anyone got any ideas? Something that won't matter if it gets owned.

Bought 3 laptops all with vista on them, returned all 3 and bought a mac for my personal computer. Works 10 times better.

only problem on my desktop i've had with Vista is the computer won't wake up from sleep mode.

had to turn off this function.

I have two PC's with Vista, one PC with XP and one Mac. The Vista PC's have all kinds of problems.

Vista is the worst operating system I have ever used in my 25 plus years of using computers.

The XP PC and Mac run great.

I can't get a connection to last longer than 5 minutes, even with wired modem, and I also had programmer examine it for close to 3 hours and he diagnosed the problem as mainly being Vista's fault. I also spent 100 bucks on what I thought was XP at Walmart and realized as I was attempting to install it was an upgrade version, and since I broke the seal that's down the toilet.

there both pretty similar operating systems. Apple is based off of unix which does make it flow a lot nicer than windows OS. Microsoft made a mistake with rushing vista and now they are paying for it. Windows NT and maybe XP are there best OS's. I prefer linux myself. But for the general public and what you guys do I'd recommend OSX or XP. Vista is more for boxes with a lot of money through in to handle the extra affects of making it look "cool."

I could rant on this for hours.

Apple costs too much and windows is so cheap that it runs poorly. Take your pick.

I have an MSI Wind and love it for internet/e-mail use. It's a 10" screen, with an almost full sized keyboard.

I have Vista on one of the two laptops I use, and I'm familiar with most of the problems noted on this thread.

It loses connection more than XP always did. And tries to "diagnose problem" with no success - always saying I have to connect to a wireless network. Like , duh.

Gates became the world's richest man with this stuff . . .
