    bodog limits
    Hey guys,
Just signed up with bodog last night, and thus far, my impression is as follows:
Customer service is top notch, site is very user friendly, but the limits are awful! Everytime I try to wager more than a dime, they need manager approval, which every time means that they give me anything over the 1000 at a much worse line. For a huge book, this is slightly crazy. I understand that they cater to recreational players, but give me a break.

bodog is more of a recreational type book as your already aware of i see. not to mention they also are well know for dealing dual lines.

if your planning on wagering a dime or more per event. then might i sugguest you checking out pinnacle or thegreek for your gamming needs.

FWIW I haven't experienced the "worse line" you mention szk although from my experience; barring MLB & NBA, I have noticed that they seem to limit your prospective winnings in other sports - to around about the $500 mark.

sounds like you may want to step up to a bigger book...pinnacle, mansion, betcris could handle that action no problem...

If you want to avoid becoming a serious bettor then you should continue using Bodog.

szk1983, You are in the WRONG sportsbook betting that kind of money. BoDog is late putting out lines, and they have a well publicized policy of a losers only book. Winners quickly get the boot.

Bodog is not a losers-only book, at least not in my case - I've won a substantial amount of money from them and they don't seem to have a problem with it. I think Bodog's a fine book, it's just not a good primary book if you're looking to bet big. It's still a nice extra set of lines that will occasionally offer value. I've also called them up and had the whole worse-line response, so I recommend simply treating the online limit as the limit, although once they had a futures price sufficiently off that the worse line was still worth it. But yes, their limits are rather low (and for MLB at least, they used to be even lower before the all-star break).
