Slick,
With the help of the Lord, I am the best college football player and after we win as a team and I'm interviewed, I'm going to give all of the glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you don't like it, I'll pray for you.
God Bless You,
Tim

God is concerned about everything. Funny how the Creator of the Universe can care about so many things, but, then again, He is a multi-tasker.

If the guy truly believes it then let it be. He would probably say you are too unreligious for him. At the end of the day it doesnt matter either way. That being said i do think that there was a certain level of brainwashing in Tebow's case.

its cool if people wanna give credit to some other power, and not their own hard work...
but just once...
I wanna hear a player answer some questions after a loss and put the blame on their God......
"yeah, we had our game plan today, we brought our A-game..but the Lord never showed up....he really dropped the ball there"

Tim Tebow is Christ himself. He is just speaking in third person like all good athletes do.

Archie, I agree but not exactly that way. After a hard loss, a player should stand up when interviewed and still say "I give all of the praise and the glory to the Lord for allowing me to compete and play the best game I could play on this day."
That would be refreshing.

Lol, in that case the religious crazies would just say god was challenging them to test their strength.

Wow, you folks are rather obtuse. Tim Tebow isn't thanking the Lord to say the Lord won the game. He is thanking the Lord for allowing him to play the best game he could play.
(I know, I know, most of you, if you do something well, give yourselves all the credit ... and if you do poorly, you probably find someone/something else to blame ... how sad.)

same crap after he won the Heisman last year.
I like him a lot as a player, but I'd appreciate it if sports players didn't preach to me.

I'm serious though. When it didn't even come close, I still pointed to the sky and praised him.
Then he told me to take Alabama 2nd half.
I'm beginning to think he's just fukkin with me.
