I lean Gophers here too (which is probably a bad thing for LK), but the revenge angle worries me. Plus I agree Minnesota isn't exactly playing its best ball right now. I watched the MSU/Minnesota game the first time around and I'm kind of thinking this is a pretty sharp number and either side is going to be sweating this bet out late.

BOL goes with the "pre market" Glantz-Culver numbers. You can look at that two ways: the "opening line" was soft and MSU got pounded, or the market -- led by Pinny of course -- was just correcting itself and now you're seeing a more true number.

I'm a Minnesota alum and watch nearly every game. You guys need to be careful here, the gophers haven't played well in weeks. Beating nebraska at home and then uglying it up for 40 minutes and squeaking by Iowa as a double digit favorite isn't a great indicator of how this team is doing right now. Tubby Smith is in hot water- our rotation is a mess and frankly he hasn't coached very well of late. I understand the angle, but just don't sell out on this one play- we definitely are not a lock.

MSU, for instance, typically tanks unless they have something to play for. I've read that Izzo would rather be out and get ready for the real tournament.

Hopefully Minnesota or Illinois will catch a second wind. Wisconsin just isn't very good. Iowa's not quite there yet. Purdue, Nebraska, Northwestern and Penn State are awful. That basically leaves the big three unless MSU is going for a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament.
