Why are people ok with Ray lewis praising god, but not Tebow?

This could be true in some cases. But a lot of rays preaching is off base and out of context. He may need psychiatric help more then anything. People hate tebow because of what he believes in. The world is a dark place . Darkness does not want to see the light.

Do not have a problem with Tebow evoking his faith the way he chooses to do. If you do not like it, that is your problem imo. However, do not see a problem with the criticism of Evangelical's who like to preach that their religion is the Ultimate Truth. Tebow is more specific with his faith and therefore is more open to criticism. The race of the person may be a factor as well. Overall, Tebow seems to be a good guy, but he is not a starter in this league at the QB position. The fact that so many root for him to fail/succeed based on his religious views indicate a great divide in America. It is what it is.

Because Tebow hasn't achieved anything needing God's praising. What will Tebow praise God for? Thank you Lord for making me a backup in the NFL and not making me start a single game?

i think the black/white thing is only tangentially related to the real reason, which is "flair", for lack of a better word

religious black people have about a billion times more flair than religious white people

EVERYONE loves gospel, it's one of the most universally adored music genres in the world, and even devoted atheists still usually love gospel songs with religious lyrics

but white religious people? like Christian rock? Their music SUCKS, it's so bad you don't even know any of the songs or anything
