Love Tulo, for the love of God, can he stay healthy all season.
Markakis, Jones and Wieters can hurt you too.
That trio is SF can rake too

sportsguy....I live in Cincy, as there's no way the Reds have the scariest 3-4-5 punch in baseball. I wouldn't even say top 10.

I'm an Indians fan but I can't wait to watch the Angels hit. Interesting to see how they fare this year.

I agree that Detroit and the Angels are the top 2. Nobody else is even close to them. I just have to go with the Angels because they have that fourth guy who is as scary as anybody.

I was joking when I said this. But was looking at the NL stats for 2012 and for the NL it is kind of close to true.
the better trio last year was Braun, Corey Hart, and Aram.
for 2013 I could see McCutch, Pedro Alvarez, and the platoon of Garrett Jones/Gaby Sanchez being one of the NL's top producing 3-4-5's

Maybe NL, not even top 5 in the entire league.

that is why I said NL in that post.
but i'll go on record saying they'll be top 4 in OPS and or WAR next year in all of MLB

on the surface level maybe
but for the sake of time let's just look at HR numbers
from a cursory glance it looks like last year (regardless of batting order) there was ONE team with 3 guys hitting 30+ HR's
the Angels with Trout 30, Pujols 30, Trumbo 32. They are adding Hamilton
after that many teams had a great 1-2 punch but the Brewers and Pirates were the most close to have 3 guys with 30
Pirates
McCutch 31
Alvarez 30
Jones 27
Brewers
Braun 41
Aram 27
Hart 30
like I said its cursory, I'll look closer at WAR and OPS tomorrow but given that McCutch and Alvarez are so young and Jones had limited ab's and will be joined by a platoon +ev split with righty Gabe Sanchez. I don't think it is Bold at all.
its just under the radar. I mean who would think a team like Detroit with Fielder and Miggy would have a trio with 92 Hr's and the stinky Pirates have a trio with 88 using two players most people have never heard of????

Meusel was #5 up until 1928 then it was Lazzeri at #5 so your both correct. The best 3,4,5 to me was Cochrane, Simmons & Foxx from 29-32. After WWII it was definitely Williams, Stephens & Doerr in 48 & 49.
Trout Pujols Josh...looks god anyways! is scary tho..who is goona beat those guys this year if they stay healthy? I see some over games in there future!
