i am planning on coming on Saturday the 9th...so after the game, but for Mardi Gras.

Yeah brock its crazy. In fact they dont have any parades scheduled for the weekend for uptown and the quarter (and metairie i think) bc it would be a logistical nightmare. i work in mandeville and theres a parade friday night there, i might catch it after work.

Have fun romoney, im sure downtown is gona be nuts. Also im sure ur aware of all the street closures like poydras and right around the dome
