Are we that bad or is the Prick that good?

I would have passed 1300 if the Prick had won this MNF game. He even sent me a pm to ask which team I liked. Then he played the opposite side. Should have bribed the SOB, or read him better.

      Your standards are high.

I look up and down the list and I see so many people with a nice little Christmas bonuses and I think, "How can they just give away all that money?"

When I look at the won-loss records I think,"That is a hell of a sharp group."

I suppose they could award the prizes in a more top-heavy manner. Personally I would prefer it. I remember a couple years ago I made about $2500 not counting the season ending prize. There were a number of other players well into the 4-digits. Meanwhile a bunch of people had very little.

Even if I was one of the have-nots, I like that better in principle. I find it more in the spirit of gambling. But I have seen Dozer's rationale for spreading the wealth and I accept it.

As for The Prick being good, I give him credit. He is irrelevant to the total prize money distributed unless he goes 4-0. He has done it twice. The expectation would be once so he has over-achieved in the area of Prickiness.

Being sharp is fine, but ultimately winning money is the goal. I don't care if you go 25-10 or 10-25, someone should have made at least 1,000 dollars by now since the Prick is barely over .500 for the season.

Payouts are higher when the Prick picks better; unless he goes 4-0. So the Prick going 3-1 or 3-0-1 is best for higher payouts.

I couldn't agree more but I don't think the lack of a $1000 winner is because, as you suggest, the group is bad. I really think it is SBR's choices in distribution. If the rules were the same as a couple years ago, the exact same results would have produced a bunch of $1000 winners by now.

Anyway, this is a touchy subject for me because of my low $$$ total to date. I keep looking at my record and my dollars and thinking, "WTF, how can that be?"

              But it be.
