Smith has been in the league for years and hasnt progressed much. At this stage in his career he should be light years ahead of Kaep. But he is not.

Kaep is a bit more raw than Smith is right now but he has more potential and has shown that he is the right choice right now

a lot of it has to do with good offensive line....he will get killed in chiefs team. Guy has been a perennial loser...has no confidence.

kapernick on the other hand has shown ton of confidence even when down big. He will be the QB for years to come.
